Lawn Maintainer - for good lawns
- A pre-renovation liquid treatment designed to control any moss and weeds already in the lawn
- A single pass light scarification to reduce the thatch and debris in the lawn and also to provide an element of “combing” of the grass plants; and
- A single pass aeration to improve drainage, reduce compaction and improve nutrient and water penetration.
There will be an amount of waste produced from the scarification work which will be placed initially in your green bin with any surplus bagged up and left on site for your disposal.
Even the very best lawns deteriorate naturally over time and the Lawn Maintainer is designed to work on conjunction with our Lawn Treatment Programme to keep a good lawn in good condition.
Lawn Improver - redressing the balance
- A pre-renovation liquid treatment designed to control any moss and weeds already in the lawn
- A double pass scarification to reduce thatch and moss in the lawn
- A single pass aeration to improve drainage, reduce compaction and improve nutrient and water penetration
- Significant bare patches are re-seeded with a premium quality grass seed mixture
There may be fair amount of waste produced from the scarification process – this waste will be placed in the green bin and any surplus bagged and left on site for your disposal.
In order to keep the cost down, our Lawn Improver service does not include any top-dressing as standard. Top-dressing with a thin layer of fine, peat free compost can increase germination rate and will improve the underlying soil structure and condition. In some cases however, we may advise that top-dressing is necessary for example where existing topsoil is poor quality.
Lawn Rescue - much cheaper than re-turfing!
- A pre-renovation liquid treatment designed to control any moss and weeds already in the lawn and prepare the area for seeding - this may require the lawn to be taken back to bare soil;
- A multiple pass scarification to reduce thatch and moss in the lawn
- A double pass aeration to improve drainage, reduce compaction and improve nutrient and water penetration - this will also improve growing conditions for the new seed/shoots;
- The whole lawn is re re-seeded with a premium quality grass seed mixture;
- Seed is raked it or a drag-mat is used to ensure good seed-to-soil contact and to cover as much seed as possible;
- A subsequent germination check is included and any bare patches as a result of unfavourable weather conditions will be re-seeded (free of charge) when suitable conditions are available

You will also need to be prepared to water the area to ensure success of the Lawn Rescue. Depending on rainfall, this may involve watering at multiple times each day to ensure the surface and the seed/shoots do not dry out.
